Sejal Mistry
Director, Asia
Sejal Mistry advises clients on health systems innovation and financing in the Asia-Pacific region. She provides strategic guidance for private, public, and multilateral clients, and she speaks regularly on major regional and global health and innovation issues, including universal health coverage, innovative financing models, and digital financial services.
Prior to joining Crowell Global Advisors, Sejal was the Regional Director of ACCESS Health Southeast Asia, where she provided strategic oversight to a multi-country team across Asia and led innovative research and programs on health financing, digital technology, and service innovation in emerging markets in Asia and beyond. During this time, Sejal authored several publications for multilateral, government, and non-private-sector clients outlining novel strategies to address health systems challenges in Asia, including the role of digital technology in achieving universal health coverage, innovative insurance models for sustainable universal health coverage, and the use of digital financial services to improve health. She has spoken at more than 40 events, including conferences, roundtable discussions, podcasts, and radio shows.
Previously, Sejal worked with the South Korean Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA), the main national agency responsible for health purchasing, where she advised on international efforts to share Korean approaches to sustainable healthcare financing. Sejal has also served as senior health policy and multilateral affairs advisor with several United States government agencies (the State Department, Health and Human Services, and the National Institutes of Health) under the United States President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
Sejal holds master’s degrees in International Affairs and International Health (public health) from Johns Hopkins University.
